Pumzi is an African and science fiction film by Wanuri Kahiu. It was released in 2009. This film was really short and I can tell you my thought about it in one sentence.
Pumzi is a wonderful depiction of self sacrifice sustaining life.
Her boss did not want her to look further into what she found outside of their environment. I’m so against people limiting other peoples curiosity. I’m a free thinker and pretty curious. So when people discover new things I’m interested to learn more and figure out the details. Due to her peers not being open to this new discovery she put her job at risk when she left their environment to learn more about this new life she found.
She was so dedicated to this discovery, she sacrificed her life for the betterment for others.
